Peoples Services Inc. subsidiary Total Distribution Inc. said that it purchased D+S Distribution and Integrated Logistics Services from D+S Distribution for an undisclosed amount.

A TDI spokesperson said that the companies being acquired employ close to 200 people and operate about 100 trucks.
Jon Ansel, the owner of D+S and ILS, plans to retire.
Ansel said, “I have known [Sibila] for many years and his management team. I can see what opportunities and growth these companies can provide.”
“Their expectations and values for service and people were second to none, and totally in line with mine. “I am grateful for the journey, and I wish everyone continued success,” he said.
Canton-based TDI anticipates that the acquisition will diversify and expand its services. The combined TDI-PSI businesses operated more than 10,000,000 square feet of contract and publicly warehouse space across 50 locations in eight states – Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia New Jersey, Virginia North Carolina South Carolina and Florida.
TDI has registered 20 warehouses with the Food and Drug Administration. The facilities offer temperature-controlled storage, refrigerated/cooler, freezer, and dry & bulk storage.
TDI has now completed its second deal in less than 12 months. In July 2023 it acquired the assets from Presidential Express Trucking Inc. The company said that the deal would diversify its product line.
Sibila stated at the time that adding New York and New Jersey port services and related services to the existing network would improve the service levels and flexibility for PSI and Presidential Express customers.
