ECU Worldwide, an Allcargo Logistics wholly-owned global affiliate, announced on Thursday that it has partnered up with ShipBob in order to offer its ocean freight and air freight services at the latter’s receiving hubs, as well as fulfilment centers, located in the US, Europe and Canada.
Allcargo Logistics announced that ECU Worldwide would become a part of FreightBob – a managed freight and inventory distribution program of ShipBob. Through its network in over 180 countries and more than 2,400 direct trading lanes, ECU Worldwide’s collaboration will be a key component of FreightBob.
It stated that this would help ShipBob to manage its ecommerce inventory for their merchants across over 50 markets as part of ECU Worldwide LCL’s (less than container load) offering.
“Our new-age, tech-driven booking platform ECU360 redefined global supply chain efficiency through convenient features, product innovation and a world-wide network.
The partnership with ShipBob allows us to further enhance our delivery capabilities in all regions. Niels Bach Nielsen said that ECU Worldwide is looking forward to helping their customers do business internationally.
ShipBob provides a global platform for supply chain management and fulfilment to small and medium businesses, as well as mid-market ecommerce merchants.
The partnership will allow for a more streamlined flow of inventory inbound from their suppliers, and give their clients the opportunity to have a complete end-toend distribution, said the company. It added that ECU had assisted ShipBob clients in exporting segments from their primary inventory in the US to ShipBob facilities in other countries.
The partnership with ECU Worldwide will enhance our freight offering to our merchants. The association will boost our freight transport capabilities, unlocking a new us”, Melissa Nick, Supply chain officer at ShipBob said.
