Pure Storage announced several AI and Security upgrades to simplify the management of individual and multiple storage arrays.
According to Prakash Darji Vice President and General Manager of Pure Storage’s Digital Experience Unit, the company is focusing on three main areas.
The first is the introduction to the cloud of the next-generation Pure Fusion hybrid Storage model and an AI copilot. The second area includes upgrades to the Evergreen//One subscription model that offers greater flexibility. The third focus is to assist businesses in transitioning traditional workloads into AI workloads, and boosting cyber-resilience.
Moving in the right Direction
Pure Storage’s integration AI into its security protection and ransomware protection was a smart move, because customers are willing today to invest in security and AI, even if they have to pay a price. They know that it will give them a competitive edge and a leg up in the market.

This experience has shown how cybersecurity is the foundation for any AI interaction. This is another example of vendors enhancing their products with AI, reducing the need to do extensive troubleshooting.”
Matt Wren is the vice president of growth for Moser Consultancy. He reiterates this sentiment by highlighting that AI enhancements and security must go hand-in-hand.
Wren confirmed that “to implement AI effectively, strong security measures must be in place.” “While it is great to see that so many people and businesses are embracing AI because of its popularity, they also must take the necessary steps in order to secure their systems properly. It’s not about following the trend, but about integrating AI responsibly and safely.
New features are rolled out
Pure Storage has added several new features that will enhance its platform.
- First of its kind storage automation: Pure Fusion brings together arrays, and dynamically optimises storage pools for structured and unstructured information, whether on-premises. Pure Fusion, integrated into the Purity operating system, which is continuously improved through non-disruptive updates, is now available on the entire Pure Storage Platform.
- Generative artificial intelligence copilot for storage Pure AI copilot simplifies data management and protection using natural language. It uses insights from Pure Storage’s tens-of-thousands of customers to help storage teams solve complex performance problems and prevent security incidents. Pure’s copilot operates only with data from the Pure data estate of a customer.
Accelerating enterprise AI success
A recent survey conducted by Pure Storage, consisting of 1,500 global decision-makers and CIOs, found that 98% of respondents believe their data infrastructure requires significant improvement in order to support AI initiatives. AI is evolving at a pace that is beyond the IT department’s ability to keep pace. Many companies are held back by rigid and unreliable storage architectures.
Pure Storage has developed new platform innovations that will help businesses accelerate AI deployment and future-proof infrastructure.
- Evergreen//One For AI: The first AI Storage-as-a-Service is designed for GPU performance. This ensures that training, inference and HPC workloads are smooth. It offers flexible subscriptions that are based on the user’s needs, allowing them to pay only for what they use. This maximizes GPU efficiency.
- Futureproof NVIDIA AI performance: By year’s end, Pure Storage will have been certified for NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD along with its existing DGX BasePOD certifications and OVX certifications. This makes it easier to integrate large-scale AI inference and training.
- Secure Application Spaces: Pur Storage streamlines data integration with your enterprise data and AI Clusters using Kubernetes and policy governance tools. This allows you to access AI innovations with ease, while maintaining your data security and control.
