Software firm HubSpot said it started investigating a cybersecurity incident that targeted its customers.
HubSpot makes marketing software for small and medium-sized businesses, and specializes in customer relationship management (CRM). HubSpot has generated sales revenue of $2.17 billion (up 25 percent) in 2023. It’s targeting to achieve sales revenue of $2.55 billion – $2.56 billion in 2023.
HubSpot on June 22 identified a security incident that involved bad actors targeting a limited number of HubSpot customers and attempting to gain unauthorized access to their accounts.
The company said the hackers were able to gain unauthorized access to less than 50 HubSpot accounts and there were no new instances of a hack in the last 24 hours as of 1600 ET on Friday.
HubSpot is taking steps to protect its customers and their data.
The number of HubSpot’s customers reached 205,091 at December 31, 2023. HubSpot says the average subscription revenue per customer was $11,365 during the fourth quarter of 2023.
