News

ONC released HTI-2, the second proposed rule for Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: Patient Engagement, Information Sharing, and Public Health Interoperability. Proposed technology and standards updates include the capability to exchange clinical images and the addition of multi-factor authentication support. The 60-day public comment period will open once the rule’s published in the Federal Register.

In a Time article, Arianna Huffington and Sam Altman announced the launch of Thrive AI Health, which aims to apply AI to behavior change. It’s funded by Huffington’s Thrive Global and Altman’s OpenAI.

Three public health infrastructure partners launched the national Implementation Center Program to support public health agencies as they modernize their data systems. Three organizations were chosen as the program’s initial Implementation Centers: CRISP Shared Services, Guidehouse, and Mathematica.
