Montauk Climate, a New York City-based incubator that creates companies in climate, infrastructure and the energy transition, has appointed Kirk Hourdajian as partner and head of venture.
In this role, Hourdajian will help lead and accelerate Montauk Climate’s investment efforts.
Hourdajian was the head of climate and impact at Vista Equity Partners. Before Vista, Hourdajian was an early member of TPG’s sustainability team. He also held senior roles at PwC, where he built early-impact investing and climate programs for PE and VC firms.
“Kirk is joining at a critical time for both climate tech and Montauk Climate,” said Philip Krim, co-founder of Montauk Climate in a statement. “Kirk’s background in climate and investing, coupled with his track record of implementing climate and impact strategies across multi-billion dollar portfolios, will be instrumental as we develop our funding strategies and deploy capital to build and scale category-defining climate tech companies.”
