Clay Labs Inc., a sales and marketing startup powered by artificial intelligence, announced today that it raised $46 million on a valuation of $500 million to enhance its platform for customer research, data aggregation and AI-driven personal messaging.
Clay, founded in 2014, offers a platform that enhances data enrichment, streamlines personalized outreach and integrates more than 75 data-enrichment tools. This ensures comprehensive and high quality data coverage. Clay’s AI capabilities allow automated research and analysis of different data sources. This helps businesses gather relevant information quickly.
Clay’s AI includes personalized messaging, which allows users to create and send targeted emails using enriched data. This feature improves engagement and conversion rates, by tailoring communications according to each prospect’s needs and interests.
Clay allows users to import or create lists of targeted leads from CRMs or email tools. The integration allows sales and marketing teams to quickly execute campaigns, automate work flows and maintain accurate data throughout their systems.
Clay’s integration with leading CRMs, email tools and other business software allows businesses to optimize their go-to market strategies and drive significant growth.
Kareem Amin, co-founder of Clay and its chief executive, told Bloomberg that Clay “let you pull information from all over the web, and then you can add AI agents on top.” It allows one person to handle all account research and message creation instead of the junior staff that used to do it before. They can focus on building relationships.
The company has experienced strong growth, and over 100,000 teams of all sizes use its services. Reddit Inc. is one of the company’s most notable customers. Other notable clients include Anthropic PBC Inc. Stytch Inc. Opendoor Technologies Inc. Sigma Computing Inc.
Meritech Capital Partners LP was the lead investor in the Series B round. Sequoia Capital Operations LLC led, followed by First Round Capital LLC. Box Group LLC, Boldstart Ventires LLC, and Box Group LLC. Clay has now raised $66 million in total, including the new funding.
