Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited has announced that it will invest Tk 2.5 crores in Chaldal Limited, and Sokrio Technologies Limited.
The announcement took place at an event organized by BVCL on Tuesday in Daffodil Plaza, the capital.
Md Sabur, BVCL’s chairperson, said that the financing was aimed to promote the growth of startups.
“This shows our commitment to nurturing successful entrepreneurs for the future,” he added.
Chaldal.com is a leading ecommerce platform in Bangladesh, which leads the online grocery delivery market. The local venture capital firm invested Tk2 crores in the company.
Sokrio Technologies Limited received Tk50 lakh as investments. It is a SaaS platform that provides distribution management system (DMS).
The investment announcement was then followed by a panel titled “Founder’s Insight: From Dream to Reality.”
Daffodil Group chairman Md Sabur, Chaldal Founder & CEO Waseem Alim, Brainstation 23 PLC Founder & CEO Raisul Kbir, and Sokrio Technologies Founder & CEO Md Mubir Mahbub participated in a panel discussion moderated Shawkat Hossain, CEO of BVCL.
The panel discussion examined the insights and experiences from accomplished entrepreneurs. The panel discussion also focused on funding for startups, IPOs for startups, and keeping motivation throughout the entrepreneurial journey.
A diverse audience of entrepreneurs and investors attended the event, providing a unique networking opportunity as well as a platform to share industry knowledge and best practice.
