ASTANA – On June 27, the Kazakh president Kassym Jomart Tokayev ratified the agreement on combined international freight transport between member states of the Organization of Turkic States.
According Kaazfinorm the agreement aims at enhancing the transit and transportation potential, as well as trade and economic relationships among OTS members states.
“The agreement is a contribution to the development of modern railways, water and road transportation systems, it ensures the exchange of preliminary information to expedite the customs procedures for trains, and it introduces digital for the goods,” said Amangeldi NUGMANOV, Deputy of Senate (upper chamber of Kazakh Parliament).
The law will simplify the procedures of international combined transport, and increase cargo transportation via road, rail and ship among OTS members states.
The agreement was signed in Samarkand by OTS members on November 11, 2022.
