Sidley announced Shane Goudey’s appointment as a partner at the Palo Alto Office in the Investment Funds Practice to lead the firm’s venture capital fund-formation practice. He was a Venture Funds Partner at Cooley LLP before joining Sidley.
Goudey provides domestic and international fund sponsors with advice on all aspects of VC, PE and other investment funds, including secondary market, debt and fund-of-funds. He has also formed over 1,000 funds ranging from large venture capital funds and used buy-out funds with multi-billion dollar commitments to smaller firms that have formed micro-funds such as early-stage venture funds, angel, pledge and similar funds with only a few million dollars of committed capital. Goudey regularly advises and works with accelerator and incubator firms on organizational, operational and fund formation issues.
