Cloud identity and access startup Rezonate Inc. today announced the launch of Zoe, an artificial intelligence-powered assistant designed to augment cybersecurity and identity and access management teams.
Zoe provides AI-augmented identity security to help IAM and security teams get ahead and stay ahead of attackers by boosting the speed and efficiency of routine posture and compliance activities as well as reducing the meantime to repair identity breaches.
Rezonate argues that addressing and mitigating modern security issues requires a cross-disciplinary approach spanning IAM, DevOps, governments, risk and compliance and security departments. However, those departments often don’t speak the same language and lack a common framework for situational awareness when a company is under attack by adversaries.
Zoe has been built to guide everyone in a company through a conversational approach to come to the best decision, empowering small teams within mid-size organizations to overcome the skills and staffing gaps. For larger enterprises, it can be used to coordinate across departments to quickly resolve access privilege misconfigurations, policy violations and other critical vulnerabilities before they become a new attack vector.
With its use of generative AI, Zoe automates identity security tasks through natural language interaction to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IAM and security teams and existing IAM technologies. To assist analysts and identity security teams in locating critical risks and conducting triage and remediation most efficiently, it provides recommendations such as suggested actions, task lists and reports that can be used to streamline and accelerate the execution of core identity security and compliance activities.
Other benefits of the new AI service include faster time to identify intelligence and action by translating natural language inquiries into a unified query language and providing contextual risk understanding. Zoe also accelerates access reviews and compliance by generating reports from natural language prompts and assists in breaking down knowledge barriers between security and IAM teams by providing detailed context for alerts related to suspicious activities.
“Identity security is broken by siloed, disparate systems and manual efforts, leading to increased risk and breaches,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Roy Akerman.
Rezonate is a venture capital-backed startup that raised a single round of $8.7 million in December 2022. Investors in the company include State of Mind Ventures Ltd., Flybridge Capital Partners, toDay Ventures and Merlin Ventures.
