COSCO Shipping’s SEA3 service launches maiden voyage

COSCO Shipping has launched the maiden voyage of its SEA3 route onboard the Xin Fei Zhou.

The ship set sail from Yantian, China, on 24 June with 7,400 TEU of home appliances and e-commerce goods heading to Long Beach, US.

Soon after, on 28 June, the OOCL London departed Xiamen for Long Beach, marking the start of the service in Xiamen.

Six vessels are deployed on the SEA3 route, with stops in Kaohsiung, Xiamen, Yantian, and Long Beach.

The “dual-route” setup with SEA routes ensures fast, efficient service for clients, according to COSCO Shipping.

In May 2024, COSCO SHIPPING Development and Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited engaged in a framework agreement focusing on modernising the container industry chain.

More recently, COSCO SHIPPING (North America) recently updated its cross-border logistics by launching its Savannah e-commerce warehousing and US-Mexico Cross-Border Transportation services.
