Bessemer promotes Begwani to VP

Bessemer Venture Partners has promoted Anurag Begwani to vice president, according to an announcement on the VC firm’s site.

Begwani first joined Bessemer’s India team in 2022.

He mostly focuses on investments in fintech and wealth tech, health and pharma tech, consumer, and B2B marketplaces.

“Anurag’s dedication to nurturing entrepreneurship and his ability to provide strategic insights across various sectors make him an invaluable asset to our team and the founders we support,” said Vishal Gupta, a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners in a statement. “His commitment to intellectual honesty and ownership exemplifies the qualities we cherish in our investors.”

In addition to Bessemer, Begwani has held roles at Temasek, Lighthouse Funds, Alvarez & Marsal, and Edelweiss.

Headquartered in San Francisco, Bessemer invests in enterprise, consumer, and healthcare early-to-late stage startups.
