Milo Werner has joined DCVC as a climate-focused general partner, according to an announcement on the venture capital firm’s site.
Most recently, Werner was a general partner at MIT spinout Engine Ventures.
In her new role at DCVC, Werner will will help the firm identity attractive investments in climate companies, but also in supporting them through all stages of their growth.
On Werner joining the DCVC team, the venture firm said in a statement, “Milo arrives at an important moment for the firm. Though we have been investing in companies addressing climate change since 2012, DCVC Climate is our first dedicated climate fund. We are backing entrepreneurs with breakthrough deep tech advances that are commercially and technically prepared to solve the world’s toughest climate challenges.”
Werner’s other career highlights include serving as co-founder of NextGen Industry Group, being a partner at Ajax Strategies and an operating partner at Khosla Ventures and an executive at Tesla.
