Truckers and truck enthusiasts alike are descending on the small town of Waupun, Wisconsin, this weekend as the 35th, and final, edition of the Waupun Truck-N-Show kicks off today and runs through tomorrow.

Organizers of the long-running show said this spring that it averages 300 or so trucks but has featured as many as 500 at its high point. Based on what I saw Thursday before the show officially started, those numbers seem acheivable to say the least, with trucks allowed to roll in and register at least, for the Saturday afternoon parade, until noon Saturday.

Perhaps the headline event of the show will take place tonight, Friday, Aug. 9, with the Lights of the Night Parade, which kicks off at 9 p.m. A daytime parade will also take place Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.

Trucks that arrive by 8 p.m. Friday and register for the truck show competition will be judged Saturday from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will follow the Rides of Pride Parade with a 5 or 6 p.m. start time.

If your load this weekend has you in or near Wisconsin, come on over to Waupun and enter your truck or check out the hundreds of other trucks on display!

Below, see some early set-up shots from the show Thursday. Stay tuned to Overdrive for more show coverage in the coming days and weeks.
