Yong-Jung Park, who spent six years as investment director at Naver, joined its D2SF unit to lead AI, consumer and enterprise software deals.

Yong-Jung Park has taken up a role as head of Naver D2SF, a corporate venture capital and startup accelerator arm run by South Korean internet company Naver.

Founded in 2015, Naver D2SF invests in AI, consumer and enterprise software startups. The unit has more than 70 startups in its portfolio including blockchain game developer Nine Corporation and AI-based legal and patent management platform BeringLab.

Park, based in San Francisco, was previously investment director at Naver, a role he had held since 2018. He invested in companies like digital audio platform Pocket FM and women’s fashion marketplace Brandi, where he serves as a board observer.

In addition to direct investments, Park helped Naver make limited partner commitments to investment firms DST Global, Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners, among others.

Park is also a committee member of Mirae Asset-Naver Asia Growth Fund, a joint venture between Naver and asset manager Mirae Financial Group.
