Paccar trucks recalled for Cummins fuel pump issue
Following a recall by Cummins of more than 9,000 X15 diesel engines, Paccar is recalling more than 5,600 Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks with the affected engines, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents.
The recall stems from certain fuel pump barrels in the engines that can fracture and cause a fuel leak.
Paccar’s recall includes 5,690 model year 2025 Kenworth C500, T680, T800, T880, W900 and W990 units; and MY 2025 Peterbilt 567, 579, and 589 trucks — all equipped with the Cummins X15.
Dealers will replace the fuel pump barrels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Dec. 22. Owners may contact Kenworth’s customer service at 425-828-5888 with recall number 24KWH and Peterbilt’s customer service at 940-591-4220 with recall number 24PBH. NHTSA’s recall number is 24V-789.
Paccar’s recall joins similar recalls from International and Daimler Trucks, which recalled 1,086 and 588 trucks, respectively, with affected Cummins X15 engines.

Mack recall affects small number of Granite trucks for non-DOT-tested tires
Mack Trucks is recalling approximately 49 model year 2019-2025 GR and 2018 GU Granite trucks equipped with non-DOT-tested tires.
The recall states that the tires may not have been DOT tested and confirmed to be sufficient for the vehicles. As such, the trucks fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119, “New Pneumatic Tires – Other Than Passenger Cars.”
Dealers will inspect and replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Dec. 10. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 800-866-1177 with recall number SC0471. NHTSA’s recall number is 24V-773.
