John Elliott, founder of expedited transportation and logistics provider Load One (CCJ Top 250, No. 159), is stepping down as the company’s chief executive officer and into the role of Executive Chairman of the Board. Jack Donnell, formerly Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Operations Sourcing and Capacity at FedEx Custom Critical, has been appointed CEO.
Donnell has more than 35 years of transportation and logistics experience. Prior to FedEx, Donnell was CEO of Prime360 and held previous leadership positions at Graebel Van Lines, Brink’s and UPS.
“I am very excited to welcome Jack as our new CEO,” said Elliott. “Jack brings a wealth of industry experience, a deep understanding of our business, customers, and transportation partners, and a proven track record as an industry veteran. I am thrilled to announce this transition and am confident that Jack will lead Load One to even greater heights during our next phase of organic and inorganic growth. As Executive Chairman, I look forward to partnering with Jack to achieve our ambitious long-term growth plan.”
Since founding Load One in 2003, Elliott has transformed the company from a small regional carrier into a leading North American provider of time-critical transportation solutions. As CEO, Donnell will continue building on the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional service to its customers in addressing their time-critical, time-sensitive, and high-value freight needs.
“I am excited to be joining the Load One family and am deeply honored to build upon John’s legacy,” said Donnell. “Load One’s mission and strategy remain the same. We will continue to uphold the quality of the company’s people, longstanding history of outstanding client service, and strong customer relationships. I look forward to working alongside the talented Load One team to enhance our offerings and drive future growth opportunities to benefit our customers and our transportation partners alike.”
