Travel Wallet, a South Korean Fintech startup, raises $10M from Lightspeed

Lightspeed’s investment of $10 million in Travel Wallet’s fintech company marks the venture capital (VC)’s first investment in a South Korean firm. Travel Wallet is also attracting capital for the first time from a global VC according to their press release.

Lightspeed is an American-based global venture firm that manages approximately $25 million of assets worldwide. Lightspeed, a venture capital firm renowned for its investments in enterprise startup companies, has expanded its portfolio to include startups that have significant competitive advantages in the enterprise, consumer healthcare, and fintech industries.
