Nine Canadian carriers earn TCA Elite Fleet certification

Nine Canadian truckload carriers are among the 47 that have earned the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) Elite Fleet certification.

The TCA has unveiled it’s first-ever list, recognizing them as the 2025 Best Place to Drive.

The Canadian carriers on the list include Bison Transport, Winnipeg, Man.; Erb Transport, New Hamburg, Ont.; Fortigo Freight Services, Etobicoke, Ont.; Kriska Holdings, Prescott, Ont.; Liberty Linehaul, Ayr, Ont.; Lion Force Transport, Mississauga, Ont.; Mill Creek Motor Freight, Ayr, Ont.; Spring Creek Carriers, Beamsville, Ont.; and Transpro Freight Systems, Milton, Ont.

This new initiative, developed in partnership with the University of Denver’s Transportation and Supply Chain Institute, highlights North American for-hire truckload carriers that foster exceptional work environments, offer competitive compensation, and implement innovative practices to support their drivers.

The certified fleets were thoroughly evaluated based on key metrics such as safety, driver satisfaction, turnover rates, compensation, benefits, quality of life for drivers, company equipment, and operational efficiency, according to a TCA news release. Surveys from drivers and independent contractors were also conducted to validate the results.

TCA president Jim Ward said in a news release, “We are incredibly proud to announce this first class of TCA Elite Fleets. These carriers went through a comprehensive and detailed application process, had their drivers surveyed for validation, and received top scores for their combination of driver compensation, benefits, engagement, satisfaction, training, support, company equipment, safety, and facilities. These 47 carriers are truly Elite Fleets, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to them. I look forward to recognizing and celebrating them next month in Phoenix.”
