Mobil Delvac is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, marking a century of its advancements in diesel engine lubrication.
Launched in 1925, Delvac — which stands for Diesel Engine Lubricant by Vacuum Oil Company — was created to meet the needs of the emerging diesel industry, the company said in a news release. Over the decades, the brand has introduced formulations to improve truck reliability, enhance machine durability in extreme conditions, and support operational efficiency through lubricant analysis programs.

“We are proud to have played a key role in defining the industry for the past century,” said Mobil Delvac global brand manager Kapil Mittal. “We have become a mainstay by matching the dedication, innovation, and perseverance of the leaders we work with. We look forward to continuing to define and explore new frontiers as we move forward.”
The company added that it has contributed to supporting evolving engine technologies, including lubricants designed for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems and improving fuel efficiency in modern diesel engines.

To commemorate the milestone, Mobil Delvac will highlight key moments from its history throughout the year, sharing stories of customers, fleets, and engineers who contributed to its development.
