DAT appoints Jeff Clementz, an industry veteran, as CEO. Tony Salazar will continue to serve as COO and CFO.
DAT Freight & Analytics named Jeff Clementz CEO. Clementz will be the chief product officer for DAT until a new CPO is hired.
Satish Maripuri said, “We are thrilled to welcome Jeff as our new CEO.” Satish is DAT’s interim chief executive officer and group executive at Roper Technology. “His success in building and leading innovative platforms at eBay/PayPal, and Walmart eCommerce, aligns with DAT’s mission to intelligently and profitably connect freight carriers, shippers, and brokers.” Jeff has had a significant impact on DAT as chief product officer by fostering a culture of customer-centricity and driving growth-focused innovation in fraud prevention analytics and platform resilience.
DAT announced that Tony Salazar has expanded his responsibilities to Chief Operating Officer. He is currently DAT’s Chief Financial Officer.
Salazar joined DAT as a senior director of finance and business operations in 2018. He was previously a general manager at Intel. He has over 20 years’ experience in the technology industry, including responsibilities for strategic planning, revenue optimization, operations management and financial planning and analyses.
Maripuri stated that Tony will be responsible for integrating DAT’s strategic growth goals and operating goals, and driving a mindset of continual improvement in the DAT Operating Model. “His strategic expertise will ensure we drive operational excellence along with financial stewardship, and continue to grow as the industry’s dominant freight marketplace and analytics provider.”
