Block named Motive’s chief revenue officer
Motive has appointed Adam Block as its new chief revenue officer (CRO).
Block, who joined the company two years ago as vice-president of enterprise, has played a key role in scaling Motive’s sales organization, the company said in a news release. Under his leadership, the team secured major customers in 2024, including FedEx Freight, Kone, Davey Tree, Mavis Tires & Brakes, Peak Utilities, CoolSys, and Inframark, Motive said.
As CRO, Block will oversee global revenue and go-to-market functions, including sales, business development, strategy, operations, sales engineering, and partnerships.
“Adam has played a pivotal role in shaping Motive’s enterprise sales team growth and development, driving revenue, and guiding the company’s go-to-market efforts. His proven ability to scale teams and deliver results will be critical as we meet growing global demand for our AI-powered solutions,” said Motive co-founder and CEO Shoaib Makani.
Block, who previously served as vice-president at Medallia during its initial public offering and $6.4 billion acquisition, also held sales leadership roles at Tenmast Software (now MRI Software) and Zeta Marketing before joining Motive.
Future Transfer appoints de Lapeyre as director of sales
Future Transfer has welcomed Jerome de Lapeyre as its new director of sales. De Lapeyre brings more than 20 years of experience in the chemical industry.
De Lapeyre joins the company from BASF, where he served for 20 years, most recently as head of distribution and market development.
During this time, he played a key role in shaping business strategies, leading market expansion initiatives, and driving sales growth, the company said in a LinkedIn post, adding that de Lapeyre’s expertise spans strategic planning, global relationship management, contract negotiations, and project management, making him a valuable addition to Future Transfer’s leadership team.
“Bilingual in English and French, Jerome excels at fostering relationships and spearheading innovative solutions that align with corporate goals,” the announcement reads. De Lapeyre is based in the Greater Toronto Area.
DTNA names Scharff GM of service, customer experience
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) has appointed Andreas Scharff as its new general manager of service and customer experience, the company announced on LinkedIn.
Scharff brings more than 15 years of global experience in sales, aftersales, product management, marketing, and strategy to the role. He currently leads e-mobility sales, digital solutions, and dealer network development for Mercedes-Benz Trucks in Stuttgart, Germany. Scharff has been with DTNA for over eight years now since he joined in 2016 as head of sales, product planning & strategy, truck powertrain.
In the new role, he will oversee field service operations and customer experience initiatives, reinforcing DTNA’s commitment to supporting its customers and dealer network, the company said.
In his earlier career, Scharff worked for Bosch for over a decade, most recently as a vice-president of global sales.
