Ontario’s Premier Truck Group joins Rizon dealer network

Premier Truck Group of Mississauga, Ont., has signed a contract to become a Rizon Truck Canada dealer, offering Classes 4-5 electric commercial vehicles to fleets in Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.

The Daimler electric truck brand designs its battery-electric trucks for last-mile delivery, municipal services, and other commercial applications.

Through Premier Truck Group’s dealership network, fleet operators will have access to Rizon’s electric vehicle lineup, supported by sales representatives, charging infrastructure guidance, and financing options. This brings the company’s presence to three Canadian provinces, with Velocity Truck Centres and Globocam dealerships in B.C. and Quebec, respectively.

“We are excited to expand Rizon Trucks in the Canadian market through our partnership with Premier Truck Group of Mississauga,” said Adam Crowston, general manager of Rizon Truck Canada. “As businesses seek more sustainable transportation options, we are committed to providing reliable and efficient electric trucks that support their transition to a greener future.”

Ron Long, president and chief executive officer of Premier Truck Group, added, “Rizon Trucks are an ideal fit for the urban areas of the Greater Toronto Area.”

The news comes shortly after the company’s first official delivery of its electric dump truck in B.C. earlier in February.

Rizon exhibited its electric vehicles at the ExpoCam show in Montreal from Feb. 6 to 8.
