HOW TO USE THE LOAD ANALYZER - FUEL USAGE L/G
Follow the steps below to use it effectively.

  1. Enter the Client's Load Rate.
  2. Enter the total estimated miles from the Client's current ZIP code to the pickup ZIP code to the delivery ZIP code. This gives you the full estimated mileage.
  3. Enter the Client's current diesel price per gallon.
  4. Understanding the results:
    • If the Fuel Usage Loss/Gain is negative by half or more of the Load Rate, the load is a total loss for your client.
    • If the result is negative and equal to or greater than the load rate, your client isn't just losing the load payment, they're also paying out of pocket to haul the load. Resulting in a loss of any cash they may have set aside in reserves.
  • Start analyzing the loads you're transporting now, this will help you understand how to use the system when it's your time to become independent. Play around with the Load Rate.
  • Most Owner Operators focus only on what the load pays. Some use basic math, but true trucking profit and loss involves deeper factors that basic math doesn't include.
